Ukraine Marks Military Intelligence Day

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) According to Ukrinform, Ukraine's Military Intelligence Day was established by a presidential decree on September 7, 2022.

It is observed annually on September 7.

The holiday recognizes the important role military intelligence plays in protecting the country's national interests. In the challenging conditions of open aggression, Ukraine needs effective and proactive intelligence capable of providing timely, objective and reliable intelligence, as well as accurate assessments to help the country's leadership make important national security decisions.

Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Major General Mykhailo Drapatyi congratulated military intelligence personnel on their professional holiday.

"Dear military intelligence officers! Brothers in arms! You are the first to see what the enemy tries to hide. Your intelligence forms the basis of commanders' decisions, and the lives of others depend on its accuracy. I know the value of this work. There is no room for chance in it," Drapatyi said.

According to him, most of what intelligence officers do will never become public, and that is precisely the price of their profession – a price that cannot be measured in awards.

Drapatyi thanked intelligence officers for work that often goes unseen, but without which there would be no success on the battlefield.
