Estonia's Foreign Minister: State Duma Elections Are Kremlin-Controlled Performance

"An important reminder ahead of Russia's so-called State Duma elections. The Kremlin decides who can run, controls the process, and the result is decided before the ballots are counted," Tsahkna said.

According to him, that is not an election, but a Kremlin-controlled performance.

The Russian State Duma elections are scheduled to take place from September 18 to 20.

Earlier reports said that the Kremlin plans to massively rig the State Duma elections in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, setting voter turnout at more than 65-70% and securing at least 70% support for the United Russia party.
