Kyiv Introduces Tiered Air Threat Alert System
From now on, city residents may receive the following alerts:
Yellow level:“Drone danger”;
Red level:“Massive drone threat”;“Missile threat”;“Missile and drone threat.”
Green:“All clear” – no threats or dangers.
Each new alert indicates the current type and level of threat.
If the type of threat changes, a new alert automatically replaces the previous one.
A separate“All Clear” is not issued between different types of threats.
For example, if a“Missile Threat” alert follows a“Drone Danger” alert, this means that a missile threat is now active.
An“All Clear” alert means that none of the listed air threats have been detected in the city at this time.
The Kyiv City State Administration noted that the differentiated alert system is currently in place in all districts of Kyiv except Pecherskyi.
In the Holosiivskyi and Sviatoshynskyi districts, it is partially operational. This is because, in certain areas, differentiating between types of threats is not yet technically feasible.

As reported by Ukrinform, President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine will update its air threat warning system, specifically introducing a“yellow” threat level for drone attacks and a“red” level for missiles. There are also plans to differentiate the audio signals and the geographic scope of the alerts.
