War Update: 206 Clashes On Front Line, Fiercest Fighting In Pokrovsk Sector

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in its update on the situation as of 22:00 on Sunday, September 6.

“A total of 206 combat engagements have taken place since the beginning of the day. The enemy carried out 59 airstrikes, dropped 208 guided aerial bombs, and used 5,308 kamikaze drones to strike targets. It also carried out 1,957 shelling attacks on populated areas and positions of our troops,” the statement said.

No offensive activity by Russian forces was recorded in the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Russian forces launched five assaults on Ukrainian positions near Izybytske, Starytsia, Ustynivka, and Khatnie; two combat engagements are still ongoing.

In the Kupiansk sector, Ukrainian forces repelled four enemy attacks near Kurylivka, Kivsharivka, and Novoplatonivka.

In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled five attempts by Russian forces to advance near Novoselivka, Stavky, and Lyman.

In the Sloviansk sector, Ukrainian forces stopped three attempts by Russian troops to advance near Ozerne, Kryva Luka, and Rai-Oleksandrivka. Two more attacks are ongoing.

One enemy assault was recorded in the Kramatorsk secto r, near Fedorivka.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, Ukrainian forces repelled 12 Russian assaults near Kostiantynivka, Novoselivka, and Toretsk.

A total of 38 Russian attacks were repelled in the Pokrovsk sector. Russian forces attempted to advance near Toretsk, Sofiivka, Vilne, Dorozhnie, Novyi Donbas, Matiashеve, Bilytske, Shevchenko, Chernihivka, Dobropillia, Myrne, Vasylivka, Serhiivka, Udachne, Molodetske, Novoserhiivka, and Novopavlivka.

According to preliminary estimates, 69 Russian troops were killed and 14 wounded in the sector today. Ukrainian forces destroyed seven vehicles, one artillery system, one multiple-launch rocket system, six pieces of special equipment, and 31 enemy shelters.

Two vehicles, nine artillery systems, three pieces of special equipment, three UAV command posts, and 152 enemy shelters were damaged. Ukrainian forces also destroyed or suppressed 226 drones of various types.

Ukrainian defenders repelled one Russian attack in the Oleksandrivka secto r, near Rybne.

Six Russian attacks were recorded in the Huliaipole sector, near Vozdvyzhivka, Kosivtseve, Verkhnia Tersa, and Tsvitkove.

No offensive operations were conducted by Russian forces in the Orikhiv sector.

There were also no Russian assault operations in the Dnipro River sector.

“There were no significant changes in the situation in other sectors of the front,” the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine concluded.

As Ukrinform reported, Russia's total combat losses since the start of its full-scale invasion of Ukraine reached approximately 1,496,440 personnel as of September 6, 2026.
