Russian Forces Strike Civilian Infrastructure In Sumy, Fire Breaks Out


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Ukraine's State Emergency Service (SES) in the Sumy region reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

“Tonight, Russia launched another strike on a civilian infrastructure facility in Sumy. A fire broke out, with a threat of the flames spreading,” the statement said.

All areas where the fire was burning have been extinguished. Due to heavy smoke, rescuers worked wearing breathing apparatus to protect their respiratory systems.

According to preliminary information, no one was injured in the strike.

As Ukrinform reported, on September 5, Russian forces shelled nine settlements in the Sumy region nearly 20 times throughout the day, damaging an educational institution, civilian infrastructure, and residential buildings.
