Ukrainian Overnight Strikes Kill One, Injure Four in Russia

(MENAFN) One person is killed and four others are wounded in overnight Ukrainian drone attacks across several Russian regions, according to Russian authorities on Sunday.

In Belgorod, a Ukrainian drone reportedly strikes a vehicle in the village of Golovchino, killing one person and injuring another.

The Rostov region also comes under attack, where drones damage two apartment buildings and leave three people injured. Officials describe the incident as a "massive air attack" and say 30 drones are destroyed during the assault.

In Ryazan, a separate drone crashes into an industrial facility and causes a fire. No injuries are initially reported from the incident.

Russian defense officials say air defense systems intercept a total of 258 Ukrainian drones across multiple areas, including Russia, annexed Crimea and waters in the Sea of Azov and Black Sea.

Meanwhile, a Russian strike hits border infrastructure at a crossing between Ukraine and Romania, leading authorities to temporarily halt operations at the Orlivka checkpoint.
