Pro-Palestinian March Floods Paris, Demands Sanctions

(MENAFN) Thousands of pro-Palestinian demonstrators took to the streets of Paris on Saturday, converging on Chatelet Square before marching toward Place de la Bourse in a show of solidarity organized by the EuroPalestine Association.

Waving Palestinian flags and hoisting signs reading "Boycott Israel" and "Freedom for Palestinians," protesters demanded that the French government impose sanctions on Israel.

The crowd erupted in chants denouncing what they called genocide in Gaza, vowing to keep raising their voices on the issue.

Many marchers carried striking photographs juxtaposing images of the Gaza conflict with historical images from the Holocaust during World War II, drawing a pointed comparison between the two.

Demonstrators also directed their anger at Israel's demolition of Palestinian homes across the occupied West Bank, condemning ongoing efforts to forcibly displace Palestinian residents from the territory.
