(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia’s Embassy in the UK says it is closely following the condition of a Saudi citizen who is stabbed in London’s upscale Mayfair district, according to reports.
The embassy says it is working with the relevant British authorities to monitor the case and ensure the injured citizen receives the required medical treatment and support.
Officials add that they will continue tracking the victim’s health condition until he is released safely from the hospital.
“The Embassy affirms that it is following up on the circumstances of the incident with the relevant security authorities, and emphasizes the importance of expediting the completion of the investigations, uncovering all details of the incident, and holding the perpetrator accountable in accordance with the law,” it said.
The embassy also calls for stronger measures to protect both citizens and visitors in public spaces.
Saudi nationals living in or visiting the UK are advised to “exercise caution and vigilance” and refrain from displaying or carrying valuable belongings in public areas.
