Cinc Drapatyi Introduces New Ground Forces Commander To Personnel
"Today, I introduced the new commander of the Ground Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Brigadier General Zaits, who was appointed by decree of the President of Ukraine, to the personnel. The reasons for this choice include his experience in commanding troops, his ability to turn decisions into results, and his capacity to introduce new technologies where they provide a real combat advantage," the commander-in-chief said.

On September 2, President Volodymyr Zelensky appointed Sviatoslav Zaits commander of the Ukrainian Ground Forces.
The head of state also dismissed Hennadii Shapovalov from the position.
Zaits previously served as chief of staff and deputy commander of the 8th Corps of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces. In April this year, he was appointed commander of the 20th Army Corps.
