Trump's Special Envoys Arrive In Moscow Media

Russian news agency Interfax reported that a business jet believed to be carrying Witkoff and Kushner landed at Moscow's Vnukovo Airport.

Russia's state-run TASS news agency published video of a motorcade prepared to receive the American representatives. An unnamed source told the agency that a U.S. government Boeing C-32A aircraft departed from Miami International Airport in Florida, made an intermediate stop in Helsinki, and then continued its flight, crossing into Russian airspace.

BBC News Russian reported that, according to the FlightRadar24 tracking service, a U.S. Air Force Boeing C-32A government aircraft was currently airborne. The service confirmed that the aircraft crossed into Russian airspace over the Gulf of Finland and passed St. Petersburg around noon.

The Boeing C-32A is a modified Boeing 757. It is typically used to transport the U.S. vice president, first lady, secretary of state and other senior officials.

Earlier, Axios, citing Ukrainian and U.S. officials, reported that Witkoff and Kushner would hold talks with Vladimir Putin in Moscow on September 5, followed by a meeting with Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv on September 6.

The latest round of trilateral talks between Russia, Ukraine and the United States took place on February 17-18, 2026, in Geneva. The next meeting was scheduled for March 5 in Abu Dhabi, but was postponed after the war between the United States and Israel and Iran began.

U.S. President Donald Trump said his special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner would travel to Moscow and Kyiv with proposals aimed at ending Russia's war against Ukraine.
