Iran Carries Out Missile Strikes Against US Military Bases in Kuwait, UAE

(MENAFN) Iran carries out missile and drone attacks against US military positions in Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates, with its army saying the strikes are retaliation for recent US operations against Iran.

In a statement, the Iranian army says the attacks take place early Thursday as part of the 31st phase of its Operation Saeqeh. It says the operation targets US military infrastructure in both countries.

In Kuwait, Iranian forces claim missiles and attack drones hit satellite communication systems, storage facilities and fighter aircraft hangars at Ahmed Al Jaber Air Base. The army says the strikes damage communications equipment and aircraft shelters at the facility.

The Iranian military also says missiles and drones target US troop positions and radar installations at Al Minhad Air Base in the UAE.

Iran’s army says it will continue conducting attacks in response to US military operations against the country.

Earlier Thursday, Kuwait says its air defense systems are responding to Iranian missile and drone attacks, while its Foreign Ministry condemns the strikes as a “flagrant violation” of Kuwait’s sovereignty.
