Slovakia Summons Russian Ambassador After Strike On Kyiv


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Slovak Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Juraj Blanár reported this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

“We strongly condemn today's Russian drone attack on the building of the Security Service of Ukraine, located near the consular section of the Slovak Embassy in Kyiv. For security reasons, the building is used on a limited basis, and no one was there,” the statement said.

He called on Moscow to refrain from actions that could endanger the lives and safety of civilians.

“We call on Russia to refrain from actions that could put the lives and safety of civilians at risk. At the same time, we call on both sides to avoid further escalation that increases tensions and does not contribute to a peaceful settlement of the conflict. I have ordered that the Russian ambassador to the Slovak Republic be summoned,” the Minister said.

As reported by Ukrinform, in the afternoon of September 4, a Russian drone fell onto the roof of a non-residential building in Kyiv's Shevchenkivskyi district, causing a fire.
