Brazilian Publishers Export Copyrights

(MENAFN- Brazil-Arab News Agency (ANBA)) São Paulo – Ahead of the official opening of the 28^th São Paulo Book Biennial on Friday (4), Brazilian and foreign publishers spent the week in meetings, copyright negotiations, and panel discussions and talks. The program was part of the 7^th Professional Program organized by industry project Brazilian Publishers.

The project is a partnership between the Brazilian Book Chamber and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil). Two Arab companies took part in the meetings: the Sharjah Book Authority of the United Arab Emirates and Egypt's Logha Publishing, whose catalog includes Brazilian writer Itamar Vieira Jr.

According to Brazilian Publishers, the Professional Program is Brazil's largest business hub for the publishing industry. This edition aims to generate more than USD 945,000 in new business by expanding Brazilian literature's presence abroad.

A total of 47 Brazilian publishing houses and institutions took part in the meetings, which brought together 27 foreign companies from Spain, Colombia, North Macedonia, Argentina, Peru, Indonesia, Egypt, the United Kingdom, Mexico, Italy, Russia, the UAE, and Greece.

Held on Wednesday (2) and Thursday (3), the meetings featured seminars in the morning and business meetings in the afternoon.
