Trump Rejects Reports Of Declining US Ammunition Stockpiles
In posts on his social media platform, Truth Social, Trump said the United States has“almost unlimited” ammunition and that ammunition production has reached a level that, he said, has“never been seen before.”
He added that, in addition to large-scale ammunition production, the United States is also stockpiling ammunition to prepare for any potential situation.
The remarks come as reports and assessments by some independent institutions indicate that the stockpiles of certain U.S. weapons and advanced missiles, including some air-defense systems, have declined.
Trump has previously rejected reports that U.S. weapons stockpiles had declined during the war with Iran.
