SBI Denies Reports Of Alleged Disclosure Of SSU Personnel Data To Russia
The SBI said it had not provided representatives of the Russian side with any data concerning employees of Ukraine's intelligence and security services.
It also said that reports claiming that SBI Director Oleksii Sukhachov had allegedly instructed bureau employees to hand over such data to Russia were untrue.
“The dissemination of unsubstantiated and inaccurate allegations is a deliberate attempt to discredit the SBI and, directly, its leadership,” the bureau stressed.
The SBI emphasized that any information made available to its employees in the course of their official duties is used exclusively in accordance with the law and within the framework of specific criminal proceedings.
At the same time, information concerning the dissemination of personal data belonging to law enforcement officers has been entered into the Unified Register of Pretrial Investigations, and a pretrial investigation has been launched.
Law enforcement officers are establishing the source from which the information was obtained and disseminated, as well as all the circumstances surrounding its publication.
The SBI stressed that any attempts to use the personal data of Ukrainian law enforcement officers to discredit them, threaten their security, or pass the information on to third parties will receive an appropriate legal assessment.

As Ukrinform reported, SBI employees have launched a pretrial investigation into the circumstances of a conflict between SSU personnel and servicemen of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU). Two individuals have been served with notices of suspicion in the criminal proceedings.
