Sheikha Alya Meets 81St UNGA President-Elect
HE the Permanent Representative of Qatar to the United Nations Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif al-Thani met with the president-elect of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) Dr Khalilur Rahman.
HE Sheikha Alya commended the ongoing co-operation with the Office of the President of the General Assembly, wishing the Rahman success in carrying out his duties, and affirming Qatar's full readiness to continue co-ordinating with the Office, in a way that contributes to the success of the work of the 81st session.
In turn, Rahman voiced his deep appreciation to Qatar for its continued co-operation with the United Nations, praising its active role in supporting the work of the organisation, and affirming his aspiration to continue close co-operation with Qatar.
