(MENAFN- USA Art News) The Legion of Honor in San Francisco is currently presenting“The Etruscans: From the Heart of Ancient Italy,” an exhibition organized by Renée Dreyfus, the curator in charge of ancient art at the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco. The exhibition explores the art and technological advancements of the Etruscans, who controlled a significant portion of the Italian peninsula between approximately 900 B.C.E. and the first century B.C.E., predating the rise of the Roman Empire.

This major exhibition, which is on view through September 20, delves into the history of the Etruscan people, highlighting their deep religious beliefs, appreciation for life's pleasures, and interactions with distant cultures. It features notable loans from over two dozen institutions, including many treasures that have never traveled before.
