Qatar Customs Foils Attempt To Smuggle Hashish, Shabu Hidden In Candy Wrappers
Doha, Qatar: The Customs Administration at Hamad International Airport has foiled an attempt to smuggle hashish and shabu (crystal meth) into the country by an arriving passenger.
In a social media post, the General Customs Authority said the contraband was discovered during an inspection of the passenger's luggage. The banned substances were concealed inside candy wrappers and securely wrapped among pieces of candy.
The seized contraband consisted of 1.5kg of hashish and 370g of shabu.
