Sumy To More Than Triple Its Network Of Mobile Shelters, City Authorities Say
According to him, the city currently has 43 primary mobile shelters.
“Another 30 shelters have been purchased, and their installation is scheduled to begin next week,” Demianenko said.
The procurement process for an additional 72 mobile shelters is also underway.
“Overall, this will triple the number of primary mobile shelters to 145 and help protect thousands of Sumy residents. The new shelters meet modern standards and are designed to withstand blast overpressure of at least 100 kilopascals. They have undergone full-scale testing at expert institutions of Ukraine's Ministry of Defense and State Emergency Service,” the official said.
