Rain, Thundershowers Likely Across J&K Today
According to the latest forecast, the weather is expected to remain generally dry from September 5 to 12, although brief spells of rain or thundershowers may occur at isolated to scattered places, particularly during the early morning and forenoon hours.

Farmers, however, can continue harvesting and other agricultural activities, the weather office said.

Srinagar recorded a maximum temperature of 32.5 degrees Celsius, 4.7 degrees above normal, while the minimum temperature settled at 17.5 degrees Celsius, 2.3 degrees above normal.
Qazigund recorded a maximum of 31.2 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 15.2 degrees, while Pahalgam recorded 25.8 degrees and 12 degrees, respectively.

Gulmarg recorded a maximum temperature of 21.2 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 10.4 degrees.
In the Jammu region, Jammu city recorded a maximum temperature of 33.1 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 22.7 degrees. Banihal recorded 29.5 degrees and 18.5 degrees, Batote 26.7 degrees and 19.3 degrees, Katra 30.2 degrees and 21.9 degrees, and Bhaderwah 29.6 degrees and 16.4 degrees, respectively.
No significant rainfall was recorded at the listed stations during the period ending Thursday evening, according to MeT data.
