200 Companies To Take Part In 4Th 'International Food, Food Tech Exhibition'
The event brings together specialists in the food and beverage industries and food manufacturing technology from Jordan and abroad, along with official decision-makers and representatives of international organisations concerned with the sector. Companies from 25 Arab and foreign countries, in addition to Jordan, are taking part.
Exhibitors represent a range of sectors, including food and beverages, dairy and meat products, frozen foods, food ingredients and additives such as spices, flavours and nutrients, manufacturing equipment, packaging, cold-chain solutions, technology, food services and hospitality.
The exhibition will also showcase developments and innovations in food manufacturing, equipment and packaging technologies.
According to the organiser, the exhibition aims to highlight the importance of the food manufacturing sector and developments in the industry, particularly in the wake of global crises, which underscored the importance of expanding and localising food industries and utilising agricultural products and crops available in Jordan.
Nabd International General Manager Anoud Jarrar said the exhibition provides an opportunity for Jordanian companies to meet counterparts from variuos countries, and connect Jordanian agricultural producers and food industry workers with potential importers in regional markets, particularly neighbouring countries such as Palestine, Syria and Iraq.
She said the fourth edition was organised based on the outcomes of previous editions and amid growing interest among food manufacturers in keeping pace with developments and adopting food manufacturing technologies in line with quality requirements and international standards.
A conference on smart food manufacturing and food security will also be held alongside the exhibition, bringing together academic researchers, chief executives in the manufacturing sector, decision-makers and technology innovators to help link scientific research with industrial applications.
The exhibition covers an area of 11,000 square metres and will be open throughout its three-day run from 2pm to 9pm. Admission will be free for business owners.
