Qatar Participates In Meeting Of GCC Committee Of Agricultural Cooperation And Food Security
Manama: The State of Qatar participated in the 38th Meeting of the Committee of Agricultural Cooperation and Food Security in the GCC States, held Thursday in Manama, Bahrain.
Minister of Municipality HE Abdullah bin Hamad bin Abdullah Al Attiyah led the State of Qatar's delegation at the meeting.
The meeting discussed a number of topics on the agenda, within the framework of strengthening joint Gulf cooperation and integration in the fields of agriculture and food security, particularly a study on establishing regional areas for strategic food storage and other needs, the Gulf strategy for food security, in addition to draft laws, regulations and systems related to it, along with a number of other topics of common interest.
The committee also adopted a number of decisions and recommendations on the topics on the agenda, which contribute to supporting the joint Gulf action and enhancing integration among the GCC countries in the fields of agriculture and food security.
