| Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates September 2026 – Abu Dhabi Gaming, the government-led initiative driving the emirate's transformation into a global gaming hub, will host the next edition of Connect on Thursday, September 24, at 4:00 PM at Sandstorm, Yas Creative Hub, featuring Swedish ecosystem Venture Capital experts: Ali Farha, Investment Associate at Behold Ventures, and Karl-Magnus Troedsson, founding partner of Behold ventures, former VP of Group Strategy at EA and General Manager of DICE. Connect brings together partnered studios, developers and talent to network, exchange ideas and hear directly from practitioners with experience across the global games industry. This edition will feature the 'Funding the Game' expert session, exploring the financing options available to game founders and how studios can identify the right sources of capital for their stage, model and ambitions. Drawing on more than a decade of experience spanning game production, technology and investment, Ali Farha will share insights into the funding landscape for game developers, including venture capital, angel investment, project finance and alternative funding models, as well as how studios can combine different sources of financing to support sustainable growth. Ali Farha will be joined at Connect by Karl-Magnus Troedsson, founding partner of Behold Ventures and former General Manager of DICE, who brings extensive experience in game development and studio leadership, including work connected to franchises such as BattlefieldTM, Star WarsTM BattlefrontTM and Mirror's EdgeTM. Together, the speakers will bring perspectives spanning investment, game development and studio growth to Abu Dhabi's developer community.
