India's FM Arrives In Ukraine For First-Of-Its-Kind Visit
“Today is a special day for us. We are delighted to welcome you, Mr. Minister, to Ukraine. You were here two years ago as part of Prime Minister Modi's delegation, and now this is the first-ever solo bilateral visit by an Indian foreign minister to Ukraine,” Sybiha said.
He added that this visit-which was not deterred even by continuous Russian attacks-is a landmark event for bilateral relations between the two countries, and thanked the Indian foreign minister for his courage and solidarity.
The head of Ukraine's Foreign Ministry reported that the central topics of today's talks were peace efforts, bilateral cooperation, freedom of navigation in the Black Sea, and global food security.
“We are ready to expand trade, investment, and business ties. Currently, our trade volume stands at USD 2.6 billion, but there is still significant potential for growth. We will discuss setting a date for our intergovernmental economic commission to intensify these types of relations,” the minister noted.
Sybiha emphasized that Ukraine sees prospects for cooperation in the energy sector, infrastructure, transportation, the agricultural sector, pharmaceuticals, digitalization, mechanical engineering, security, and education.

We expect India to continue supporting the principles of the UN Charter, Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, freedom of navigation, and international law,” the foreign minister stressed.
As reported by Ukrinform, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi told Russian leader Vladimir Putin during talks in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, that the war in Ukraine must end for the sake of humanity, and that New Delhi will support all peaceful efforts to end the hostilities.
