Ajloun Forum Gives Women Producers New Platform To Market Local Products
Ajloun, Sept. 3 (Petra) -- The Princess Basma Community Development Center in Ajloun on Thursday launched the "Ajloun Authenticity Forum for Local Products" at the Ajloun Cable Car, providing women entrepreneurs and local producers with a regular platform to market their products and connect with visitors.
The forum was launched by the Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development (JOHUD), in cooperation with the Jordan Free and Development Zones Group. It aims to support local production, empower women economically, expand marketing opportunities, and promote Ajloun's distinctive heritage, agricultural and artisanal products.
The forum features a range of products reflecting Ajloun's agricultural, artisanal, and cultural heritage, allowing producers to showcase their goods and reach visitors and consumers interested in local products.
Center Director Mohammad Ghazou expressed appreciation for the support of the Jordan Free and Development Zones Group, represented by the Ajloun Cable Car Zone, in hosting the forum and providing a suitable space for women to display and market their products.
He stressed the importance of partnerships among institutions in supporting development initiatives, commending the Greater Ajloun Municipality, as well as other governorate institutions and local partners for their contributions to the forum and efforts to advance economic and social development.
Director of the Ajloun Development Zone Tariq Maayta highlighted the importance of hosting such events, which he said complement the cable car's tourism and development role by supporting local producers and small business owners and linking tourism with the local economy.
He said hosting the forum also reflects the Jordan Free and Development Zones Group's efforts to support initiatives that strengthen Ajloun's position as a tourism and development destination and provide platforms to promote its local products and resources.
