Fund, Jordan Defense Company Join Forces To Boost Badia Employment
Amman, Sept. 3 (Petra) -- The Hashemite Fund for the Development of Jordan Badia and the Jordan Design and Development Bureau (JODDB) on Wednesday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to expand training, innovation, and technology initiatives to improve employment opportunities for youth and women in the Badia.
The MoU, signed in the presence of Her Royal Highness Princess Basma bint Ali, Chairperson of the Fund, seeks to support the Fund's development efforts by leveraging the JODDB's technical and engineering expertise. It provides for training programs aligned with labor market needs, capacity-building initiatives for youth and women, support for entrepreneurial ideas and projects, and the transfer of knowledge and technology.
The agreement also includes preparing studies and technical solutions and implementing pilot programs and projects across the northern, central and southern Badia regions, to strengthen residents' skills and readiness for employment.
Princess Basma stressed the importance of translating the MoU's outcomes into practical training programs targeting Badia youth, helping them develop their skills and ideas and enabling them to realize their potential.
She also highlighted the need to expand the scope of the cooperation beyond the northern Badia to include the central and southern regions.
Fund Director General Ayesh Qatarna described the MoU as an important step in the Fund's efforts to empower and train Badia youth, enhance their skills and capabilities, and draw on the JODDB's specialized expertise to deliver high-quality programs tailored to their needs.
Director of the JODDB, Ayman Batran, underlined the JODDB's readiness to work directly with the Fund on youth training and development through programs targeting sectors that meet labor market needs, enhancing participants' preparedness and expanding their employment opportunities in the private sector.
