G-SHOCK Introduces LUXE BLACK, a Refined All-Black Take on the Iconic 2100 Series

Bringing a more refined expression to the familiar 2100 design, the new line-up spans the GM-2100LXB and GA-2100LXB series, combining deep black tones, restrained detailing and subtle metallic accents. The result is a cleaner, more understated take on G-SHOCK’s signature toughness, designed with a sense of minimalism that extends beyond seasonal trends.
The dial has been reworked with a fine micro-textured matte finish that suppresses reflections and brings greater depth to the rich black surface. Slimmer hour and minute hands, redesigned vapor-deposited hour markers and carefully placed minute markers sharpen the overall look while maintaining clear readability.
Silver and gold accents introduce just enough contrast without taking away from the monochrome aesthetic. Across the four models, these details appear on the inset dials, hour markers and around the glass perimeter, creating subtle shifts in shine depending on the light.
The GM-2100LXB brings a more structured finish to the collection through its stainless-steel bezel, treated with a hairline finish and black ion plating. A textured urethane band continues the matte aesthetic through the strap, while the GM-2100LXB-1A introduces silver accents and the GM-2100LXB-1A9 opts for gold.
For a lighter resin interpretation, the GA-2100LXB retains the distinctive octagonal bezel and pairs it with a dimpled urethane band. The GA-2100LXB-1A features silver vapor deposition on the hour markers, while the GA-2100LXB-1A9 uses gold detailing for a warmer contrast against the all-black design.
Beyond styling, the series stays true to G-SHOCK’s performance credentials. All four models are shock resistant and offer 200-metre water resistance, while the GA-2100LXB models also feature Carbon Core Guard construction. Key resin components in the bands, as well as the bezel of the GA-2100LXB, use bio-based resin, which is expected to help reduce environmental impact.
Functionality across the line-up includes world time across 31 time zones, a 1/100-second stopwatch, 24-hour countdown timer, five daily alarms and a full auto-calendar through 2099. A double LED Super Illuminator lights both the face and digital display, while the hand-shift feature moves the hands aside for an unobstructed view of the digital display.
