Türkiye, Lebanon Expand Energy Cooperation in Oil, Gas


(MENAFN) Türkiye and Lebanon discuss ways to deepen cooperation in the energy sector, focusing on stronger electricity, oil and natural gas connections between the two countries, according to reports.

Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar meets with Lebanese Energy and Water Minister Joseph Saddi and his delegation to review opportunities for broader energy collaboration.

The two officials discuss improving regional electricity, natural gas and oil interconnections, while also examining potential joint projects in the oil and gas industries.

"Türkiye is ready to share its experience, knowledge and capabilities in the energy sector with Lebanon and further strengthen energy cooperation between our countries through projects we will develop on the basis of mutual benefit," Bayraktar says.

The discussions reflect efforts by Ankara and Beirut to expand energy ties and develop projects that could strengthen regional connectivity and create shared benefits.
