Israel Forcibly Displaces Another Palestinian Village in West Bank
(MENAFN) Israeli forces forcibly remove residents from Khirbet al-Taban in the southern occupied West Bank, making it the 66th Palestinian village to be completely emptied since October 2023, according to reports.
The village, located south of Hebron, is raided by Israeli forces Wednesday morning, with homes belonging to its residents demolished within several hours.
Around 12 families, comprising roughly 70 people, live in Khirbet al-Taban, including 28 children.
“The forces did not leave a single home standing,” the rights group says.
The demolitions also affect sheep pens, water tanks and storage facilities, while caves in the surrounding area are reportedly destroyed.
The village becomes the “66th Palestinian village that Israel has forcibly displaced since October 2023,” while residents of another 18 villages have experienced partial displacement.
According to the group, the displacement campaign has forced approximately 4,931 Palestinians from their homes, including around 2,339 children and teenagers.
