Five People Face Charges in Sheffield Newborn Girl Death Case

(MENAFN) Five individuals, including a 15-year-old girl, face charges in connection with the death of a newborn baby in Sheffield, according to reports.

The group consists of two men, two women and the teenage girl. A forensic post-mortem examination determines that the infant dies from stab wounds.

"Sadly the child was found dead at a property on Holywell Heights on Sunday 30 August after police officers responded to reports of a concern for the safety of an infant," according to a statement.

The four adults — Andrea Skopova, 20, Peter Horvath, 19, Peter Horvath, 38, and Nina Horvathova, 37 — face charges including murder, causing or allowing the death of a child, and perverting the course of justice. The allegations also involve attempts to conceal the infant's killing.

The 15-year-old girl, whose identity cannot legally be disclosed because of her age, is charged with perverting the course of justice, according to reports.
