Irbid's Industrial Exports Up To $114.5M Last August - ICI
According to the ICI's data, 1,450 certificates of origin were issued in August, representing a 1.3 per cent surge over the 1,431 certificates recorded in August 2025.
Garments and leather products dominated exports, generating $101.8 million. Food and agricultural products followed at $5.25 million, while chemicals and cosmetics, along with medical supplies, reached $3.2 million each.
Remaining exports across engineering, plastics, packaging, and construction totalled $192,000, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The US was the top destination for Irbid's exports at $84 million, followed by the Netherlands at $3.23 million, Canada at $3.02 million, Saudi Arabia at $2.92 million and Germany at $2.62 million.
Securing the largest share, Al Hassan Industrial Estate (HIE) accounted for $110.6 million, then followed by exports of Cyber City at $3.36 million and ICI's main office at $557,500.
ICI's Director General Nidal Sadr, attributed the growth to the sector's expanding international reach despite global trade challenges.
As for its current policy, he noted that the chamber is collaborating with the government to enter new markets and diversify local exports.
