Most Poles Oppose Providing Ukraine With Poland's Patriot Missiles
According to the survey, 21.6% of Polish respondents support the transfer of missiles to the Patriot systems: 7.2% were unequivocally“in favor,” and 14.4% were“somewhat in favor.” Another 14% were undecided. In contrast, 64.4% of those surveyed do not support the transfer of Polish missiles for the Patriot system to Ukraine. Of these, 46.8% are categorically opposed, while 17.6% answered“rather not.”
At the same time, the issue of transferring missiles to Ukraine significantly divides supporters of various political forces. Among voters for opposition parties (“Law and Justice,”“Confederation,”“Confederation of the Polish Crown,” and the“Together” party), 82% oppose transferring Patriot missiles to Ukraine. Only 10% of respondents support this decision.
Among supporters of the ruling camp, the results are the opposite: 49% support transferring Patriot missiles to Ukraine, while 35% oppose it. The remaining respondents in this group are undecided.
According to Radio ZET, the Polish Armed Forces likely have about 208 Patriot missiles. In July, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced that Warsaw,“in full agreement with NATO and the Americans,” had transferred five missiles from the Patriot air defense system to Ukraine.

In late July, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated that Warsaw would soon consider the possibility of transferring additional missiles for the Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine.
