LONDON - Independent creative agency Splendid Communications has promoted long-serving leader Chrissy Kellaway to managing director, following a period of growth and new client wins including Rowntree's Lollies and Cadbury Ice Cream.
Kellaway (pictured, left) joined Splendid 12 years ago as a senior account executive and has since progressed through every level of the business. Most recently head of operations, she has helped shape the agency's culture, operations and commercial growth, and played a key role in securing both recent FMCG assignments.
As managing director, Kellaway will oversee the agency's day-to-day operations, including its people, client partnerships and commercial performance. She will work alongside innovation and media director Jess Proudfoot and creative director Fran Langdon, reporting to founder and CEO Alec Samways.
“Chrissy is everything you'd want in a managing director,” said Samways (pictured, right).“She's commercially sharp, deeply trusted by our clients and an incredible leader for our team. She's helped shape Splendid into the agency it is today, and no one deserves this opportunity more. I couldn't be happier to see her lead the next chapter of our growth.”
Kellaway added:“I've grown up at Splendid. To start here as a senior account executive and now become managing director is something I'm incredibly proud of. We've built real momentum over the last few years and I'm excited to keep pushing the agency forward, winning great work, developing brilliant people and continuing to deliver campaigns that make a genuine impact for our clients.”
Founded in 2004, Splendid specialises in earned-first creative campaigns for clients including giffgaff, Heathrow Express, Singapore Tourism Board, Monkey Shoulder and Twinings.
