Jaafar Jotheri

Jaafar Jotheri is an Iraqi landscape archaeologist who obtained his PhD in Geoarchaeology in 2016 from Durham University, United Kingdom.
He has served as a professor in the Department of Archaeology at the University of Al-Qadisiyah in Iraq since 2004.
His research primarily addresses the geoarchaeology of southern Mesopotamia, with an emphasis on river-course dynamics, irrigation systems, water management, and settlement patterns.
