General Staff Confirms Destruction Of Russian Mig-29 Jet, Ka-27 Helicopter
“Following an analysis of additional data, the destruction of a Ka-27 helicopter near the Yeysk airfield in Russia's Krasnodar Krai on August 30, 2026, has been confirmed. The destruction of a MiG-29 aircraft near the Millerovo airfield in Russia's Rostov region on August 27, 2026, has also been confirmed,” the statement said.
In addition, on September 1 and overnight into September 2, Defense Forces units struck a number of military targets of Russian forces.
An ammunition depot was hit in Volodymyrivka, Donetsk region.
A depot containing materiel and equipment was hit in Ocheretyne, Donetsk region.
In Rechytsa, Russia's Bryansk region, a cluster of enemy weapons and military equipment was also struck.
“The extent of the damage inflicted is being clarified. Operations against key enemy military targets are continuing,” the General Staff said.
