Russian Uavs Strike University In Kyiv During Classes - Zelensky

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) According to Ukrinform, President Volodymyr Zelensky reported this on Facebook.

“Today, Russian 'Shahed' drones struck one of the universities in Kyiv-right in the middle of classes. Fortunately, the students were in a shelter-160 students,” the head of state said.

According to him, the Russians struck Odesa overnight. A residential building and city infrastructure were damaged. Five people were injured, including a child. In Kherson, the Russians struck a building housing emergency responders and police. Due to strikes in the Kharkiv region, thousands of people were left without power, and there are injuries. In many regions, air raid alerts continue due to the threat of jet drones and aerial bombs.

"Unfortunately, the response from the world and its most influential leaders to this latest Russian escalation of attacks has been insufficient. When Russian-Iranian 'Shaheds' are waging round-the-clock terror in Europe, this cannot remain a problem for our country alone. Every such strike against Ukrainians, every such use of 'Shaheds' and other weapons against our cities and villages-is, in fact, Russia testing tactics that they are preparing for other countries and other peoples as well,” the President emphasized.

According to Zelensky,“We must act now. Evil must be stopped the moment it manifests itself. We need absolutely clear and decisive steps to put pressure on Russia for this and to help Ukraine. Each of our partners knows what is needed: air defense systems for Ukraine, sanctions against Russia, and a significant ramp-up of defense production. I thank those who are truly helping.”

As reported by Ukrinform, seven people were injured in Kyiv as a result of a Russian attack on the afternoon of September 2; five of the wounded were hospitalized.
