IRGC Says It Targets US Military Bases in Jordan with Ballistic Missiles

(MENAFN) Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) says it launches ballistic missile attacks against a US Marine base in Jordan as part of a retaliatory operation.

The IRGC identifies the facility as “Camp Titin” and says the strike comes in response to a US attack on a residence in Sirik, located in Iran’s Hormozgan Province, which it claims was hosting a wedding ceremony.

According to the group, the missile attack on the Jordanian base results in the deaths of numerous US military personnel stationed there.

In another statement, the IRGC says it also carries out a major ballistic missile assault against hangars at Prince Hassan Air Base in Jordan that house US RQ-4 and MQ-9 long-range drones.

The group claims several drones are destroyed in the strike, while US pilots and technical staff are killed and several military installations catch fire.

Meanwhile, the US military’s Central Command (CENTCOM) says it conducts strikes against IRGC targets inside Iran.
