Arab Parliament Denounces Iranian Attacks On Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain
Cairo, Sept. 2 (Petra) -- Arab Parliament Speaker Mohammed Yamahi on Wednesday denounced Iran's "blatant" missile and drone attacks targeting Jordan, Kuwait and Bahrain, warning that Tehran's escalation threatens the security and stability of the region.
In a statement, Yamahi affirmed the Arab Parliament's full solidarity with the three countries in the measures they are taking to safeguard their security, stability, territorial integrity and citizens.
He stressed complete rejection of any attacks affecting the security, sovereignty or territorial integrity of any Arab state. He called on the international community to take immediate, serious action to prevent a repeat of such attacks, citing the serious repercussions for regional and international security.
Yamahi underscored the need to uphold the principles of international law, good-neighborliness and respect for state sovereignty, prioritizing dialogue and diplomacy over further escalation.
