Hotel Sarina Dhaka Names Patrick Beck As New General Manager

(MENAFN- Bangladesh Monitor) Dhaka: Hotel Sarina Dhaka has appointed Patrick Beck as its new General Manager, bringing over three decades of international hospitality experience to the property, as per a release from the hotel issued on September 2.

Beck, a French hospitality veteran, began his career as a hotel manager at the Four Seasons Hotel in San Francisco before leading luxury hotels and resorts across North America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Caribbean.

Over the past 18 years, he has held General Manager positions at nine international properties, including TUI BLUE Beach Resort & Spa in Curaçao, Sea Cliff Resort & Spa in Zanzibar, Hotel Ciputra World Surabaya, Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel in Bali, and the 695-room Hotel Borobudur Jakarta.

At Borobudur, he frequently hosted Indonesia's presidency and visiting international delegations. Most recently, he led the pre-opening of TUI BLUE's 400-room beachfront resort in Curaçao.

Notably, Beck's career began in the kitchen rather than the front office. A certified executive chef trained with the American Culinary Federation, he directed food production for Lenôtre, part of the Accor Group, in France.

There, he oversaw more than 6,000 meals a day across restaurants, banquets, and international events, leading a team of 485 chefs, including eleven Meilleur Ouvrier de France titleholders, before becoming Managing Director of Lenôtre's Egypt franchise.

Beck holds ISO-9001 and HACCP food-safety certifications and has built wedding and banquet businesses at resorts in Zanzibar and Bali, expertise seen as directly relevant to Hotel Sarina Dhaka's five food and beverage outlets: Summerfields, Amrit, Risotto, Street 17 Café, and Elite Club.

The property said the appointment comes as Dhaka's hospitality sector grows more competitive, with international brands expanding their footprint alongside rising corporate and diplomatic travel and a growing MICE segment.

Dining and banquet business has emerged as a key revenue driver for the city's hotels, with weddings, festive buffets, and corporate events increasingly won on culinary quality and guest experience.

Beck also holds Franklin Covey leadership certification earned in Indonesia and the Philippines, along with crisis management training. He speaks English, French, and Spanish, which Hotel Sarina Dhaka described as a crucial skill for serving Dhaka's diverse corporate, diplomatic, and leisure clientele.

The hotel said it expects Beck's international expertise and hands-on food and beverage leadership to strengthen the hotel's commercial performance, elevate guest experience across all outlets, and reinforce its position among Bangladesh's premier luxury hospitality destinations.
