'Targeting Children Is Unacceptable': KP CM Condemns Reported Drone Strike In South Waziristan

(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi has expressed concern and sorrow over the reported drone attack in Azam Warsak, South Waziristan, in which four people, including children, were injured. He also condemned the incident.

The Chief Minister said that targeting civilians, including children, is unacceptable under any circumstances. He said that innocent civilians, particularly children, cannot be put at risk.

He expressed his condolences to the families of the injured children and other victims, saying that he shares their grief.

Muhammad Sohail Afridi directed the relevant authorities to provide the injured with the best possible medical treatment. He said that such incidents further worsen the law and order situation.

He said that protecting the lives and property of citizens is the government's top priority for ensuring lasting peace in the province. He urged the federal government and security forces to fulfill their responsibilities to protect civilians and prevent such incidents.

It may be recalled that four members of the same family, including a father and children, were injured after a mortar shell reportedly dropped from a quadcopter drone onto a house in Nargsai, Azam Warsak, South Waziristan.
