Kuwait Military: Air Defenses Foil Drone, Missile Attack

(MENAFN) Kuwait's armed forces announced Wednesday that the country's air defense network had engaged incoming hostile drones and missiles, blaming the assault on what officials described as "Iranian aggression."

In a statement posted to the U.S. social media platform X, the General Staff of the Kuwaiti Armed Forces clarified that any blasts residents heard across the country were the direct result of air defense batteries successfully intercepting the airborne threats before they could strike their intended targets. Officials moved quickly to reassure the public that the loud noises did not signal a breach of the nation's defenses, but rather the system functioning as designed against the incoming projectiles.

The military further instructed citizens and residents alike to remain calm and strictly follow all safety and security guidance issued by relevant national authorities as the situation continues to be closely monitored. No additional details were immediately released regarding casualties, damage, or the precise origin of the attack.
