Erdogan, Putin Discuss Black Sea Security, Possible Ukraine Peace Talks In Türkiye Media
“As far as I know, the main topic was the situation in the Black Sea,” the outlet quoted Kremlin foreign policy aide Yuri Ushakov as saying.
Erdogan and Putin also discussed the possibility of holding negotiations in Türkiye aimed at resolving Russia's war against Ukraine.
“Yes, the Turkish side keeps offering this at different levels,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov was quoted as saying.
The meeting between the two leaders in Bishkek was also attended by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and National Intelligence Organization chief Ibrahim Kalin.
The sides discussed bilateral relations, including energy cooperation and the construction of the Akkuyu nuclear power plant by Russia's state nuclear corporation Rosatom.
