Enemy Strikes Energy Facilities In Odesa Region, Causing New Power Outages In Four More Regions - Ukrenergo

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) According to Ukrinform, this was reported by NEC“Ukrenergo” on Facebook.

“Overnight, the enemy carried out a massive missile and drone attack on the energy infrastructure of the Odesa region. The situation in this region is currently the most critical. Emergency repair work in the region began as soon as the security situation allowed,” the statement reads.

In addition, there are new power outages in the Sumy, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, and Kherson regions. Power utility workers have begun restoration efforts wherever the security situation allows.

As of 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, electricity consumption is 6.8% lower than the previous day's level. This is due to clear weather across most of Ukraine, which facilitates the efficient operation of residential solar power plants.

Ukrenergo advises shifting peak electricity consumption to the period when industrial solar power plants operate most efficiently-from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Between 6:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., energy officials ask that people limit the use of high-power appliances.

As previously reported, no power outag schedules are expected in Ukraine on September 2.
