Israel Fires Interceptors Amid Suspected Lebanon Incursion

(MENAFN) Israel's military said Wednesday that it launched interceptors at a suspected aerial target believed to have crossed into northern Israel from Lebanese territory, triggering alerts across the region.

In a statement posted on X, the army said sirens had been activated in several areas of northern Israel following the infiltration of a hostile aircraft. It said the results of the interception attempts were still being assessed, and that there were no reports of injuries so far.

The military added that separate alerts for rocket and missile fire were activated in the wake of the interception attempts, as authorities continued to monitor the situation along the northern border.
