Fresh Israeli Strikes Kill Palestinians in Gaza Amid Ceasefire Violations
(MENAFN) At least two Palestinians are killed and several others injured in new Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, as violations of the ongoing ceasefire continue.
Israeli aircraft target the Katiba area west of Gaza City, killing one person and wounding several others, according to medical reports. Witnesses in the area report hearing powerful explosions as the strikes take place.
In central Gaza, a Palestinian girl is also killed by Israeli gunfire in Deir Al-Balah, according to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, which provides no additional details about the incident.
The latest attacks occur despite US President Donald Trump’s Aug. 17 appeal for Israel to stop its strikes on Gaza.
Since the ceasefire takes effect last October, more than 1,320 Palestinians have been killed and over 4,385 others injured in Israeli attacks, according to figures from Gaza’s Health Ministry.
