Qatar University To Host Charity Festival To Support Students In Need
Doha, Qatar: Qatar University (QU) will host the Joud Charity Festival from September 6 to 10 on campus, coinciding with the International Day of Charity, to promote a culture of giving and raise financial support for the Joud Student Support Fund.
In a statement yesterday, the University said the fund receives donations and grants from institutions and individuals to assist eligible students, including contributions toward tuition and housing fees and laptop loans for those facing financial difficulties.
QU's Director of the Student Services Department Khulood Al Otaibi stated:“The Joud Festival represents a true embodiment of Qatar University's mission to provide inclusive education and sustainable support for its students. It contributes to strengthening community solidarity and affirms that financial circumstances should not be an obstacle to students' academic aspirations and academic excellence.”
