War Update: 213 Combat Clashes On Front Line Over Past Day, Kostiantynivka Sector Sees Fiercest Fighting

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this in a Facebook update on the situation as of 8:00 on September 2.

The enemy launched one missile strike and 93 airstrikes, dropping 313 guided aerial bombs. In addition, Russian forces deployed 11,511 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,969 shelling attacks, including 57 using multiple-launch rocket systems.

In the Sumy region, Korenok, Sopych, Tovstodubove, Neskuchne, Ulanove, Yunakivka and Volfyne came under artillery fire. Areas around Tovstodubove, Vilna Sloboda, Khotin and Khrapivshchyna were subjected to airstrikes.

Ukrainian aviation, missile forces and artillery struck 10 areas where Russian personnel were concentrated, six command posts for unmanned aerial vehicles, five guns and one other important target.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, Ukrainian forces repelled six enemy assaults.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Ukrainian units repelled seven enemy attacks. Russian forces attempted to advance toward Volokhivka, Khatnie, and Bochkovе, as well as near Vovchanski Khutory and Starytsia.

In the Kupiansk sector, Russian forces attacked six times toward Radkivka, Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi, Kurylivka, Dovhenke, and Kivsharivka.

In the Lyman sector, Russian forces launched nine attacks toward Novoosynove, Drobysheve, Cherneshchyna, Olhivka, Lyman, and Dibrova.

In the Sloviansk sector, the enemy carried out three assault operations toward Ozerne and Mykolaivka as well as near Kryva Luka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian forces launched one attack toward Yurkivka.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, 28 attacks were recorded. Russian forces carried out assaults near Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, Novoselivka, Stepanivka, and Sofiivka, as well as toward Novopavlivka and Vilne.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukraine's Defense Forces stopped 25 Russian attacks. The enemy was active toward Novyi Donbas, Serhiivka, Novopidhhorodnie, and Novopavlivka, as well as near Udachne, Muravka, Molodetske, and Orikhove.

In the Oleksandrivka sector, Russian forces conducted no active offensive operations.

In the Huliaipole sector, Russian forces launched 13 attacks, attempting to advance toward Vozdvyzhivka, Rizdvianka, Verkhniа Tersa, and Charivne.

In the Orikhiv sector, Ukraine's Defense Forces stopped two Russian attempts to advance toward Pavlivka.

In the Dnipro River sector, the enemy conducted no assault operations.

No signs of Russian forces forming offensive groupings were detected in the Volyn and Polissia sectors.

As reported by Ukrinform, Russia's total combat losses since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, through September 2, 2026, amount to approximately 1,491,030 personnel, including 1,390 over the past day.
