Drone Incident At Leipzig Airport: Germany Convinced Of Russian Involvement

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) German Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt and Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul said this in a special joint statement on September 1, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

“We have concluded that Russia is responsible for the hybrid attack in Leipzig,” Dobrindt said.

He added that it was a Russian hybrid operation in Europe orchestrated by state actors.

Wadephul described the incident as part of Russia's aggressive hybrid activities against Europe.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, in early August, an attempt was made to carry out an acts of sabotage using a drone at Leipzig Airport near a Ukrainian cargo aircraft. Another drone was later found at the airport, followed several days later by another one nearby. German Chancellor Friedrich Merz vowed that those responsible would be held accountable.
