106-Year-Old Ukrainian Becomes Oldest Man Living In Ireland
Motornyi was born in the Cherkasy region on November 5, 1919. He spent most of his life in Mykolaiv, where he moved after finishing school. There, he began a career at a shipbuilding plant that lasted more than 50 years, working his way up from welder to shop manager.

The organization noted that despite his advanced age, Motornyi can recite passages from Ivan Kotliarevsky's Eneida from memory.
In February 2024, at the age of 104, he received an international passport for the first time in his life. He then traveled to Ireland, where his family was waiting for him.
