Ashley Percival's Creatures Blend Traditional And Digital Art

(MENAFN- USA Art News) Illustrator Ashley Percival, based in Cornwall, creates a fantastical world of animals, from poodles and plump birds to insects wearing boots, all adorned in an array of vibrant costumes. He crafts these whimsical collections of species, often presented in captivating grids, by combining colored pencil, pen, paint, and digital tools.

Percival designs playful patterns and color schemes for common animals, drawing inspiration from his imagination. He recently spent three months immersed in nature in Spain and France, which informed his latest bird illustrations.“I don't think about the colors I use. It's all free flow. I sometimes look at an animal once to get an idea and then draw from my imagination,” Percival told Colossal.

Beyond his personal endeavors, Percival also collaborates with major brands such as Ikea and Gucci.
